Haque’s EYE
The ticket cost me $39, during winter they were taking only till milepost 33 or even 42, weather permitting. Tickets can be snagged at Riley Creek Mercantile before the visitor center.Buses depart from the bus depot, and there is a large parking to park your vehicle.

– Mile 9: Moose Haven, especially during the fall rutting season.
– Mile 34: Igloo Mountain for Dall sheep.
– Miles 38-43: An area known for bear activity.

– Mile 53: Easy walking at the flat plain by Toklat River.
– Mile 58: Comfy alpine tundra walk to Eielson Visitor Center (mile 66).
– Mile 66: Join daily ranger-led tundra walks at 1 pm from mid-June. Choose a morning bus to be there on time.

– Mile 46: Polychrome Pass, the most scenic point on the road.

Give yourself at least two days to fully enjoy Denali. On the first day, kick off early from Fairbanks. Make a pit stop in Nenana City then arrive at the visitor center for the 10 AM or next Husky Demonstration, Afternoon book a scenic Jeep Tour.
If you’re taking the train, the journey itself is picturesque and can accommodate the Husky Demonstration, and Jeep ride.
Stay nearby overnight and catch the early Transit bus the next morning. Arrive at the Eielson Visitor Center before 1 PM to join the ranger-led hike. Consider wrapping up your adventure with a sunset flightseeing tour!

Denali Park Road closed at mile 43 due to a landslide at Pretty Rocks. Construction on a detour bridge started in 2023 and will last until 2025. Check the road condition and plan your travels accordingly! #DenaliClosure
